Repetition, reversal, doubling and inversion are recurrent artistic strategies in the practice of Didier Vermeiren (1951, Brussels), one of the most important sculptors in Europe. Double Exposition presents sculptures and photographs made recently or during the last four decades.

Didier Vermeiren lives and works in Brussels and Paris. Recent exhibitions include Construction de distance, FRAC Bretagne (2017); Rodin, l’Exposition du centenaire, Grand Palais, Paris (2017); Etude pour le Monument à Philippe Pot (1996-2012), Saint Philibert Church, Dijon (2013); Sculptures, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Deurle (2012) ; Solides géométriques – Photoreliefs – Vues d’atelier, Musée Bourdelle, Paris (2005); Collection de Solides, Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven (2003).
