Liesbeth Decan lectures on the theory and history of photography at LUCA School of Arts - Campus Sint-Lukas Brussels. End of 2011, she obtained a doctorate at the University of Leuven on the inclusion of the medium of photography in the visual arts in Belgium from the 1960s.
She wrote an article in which she highlighted the pioneering Jef Geys - alongside Jacques Charlier and Marcel Broodthaers - fulfilled with regard to the introduction of photography as a basis for art.
