The multidisciplinary practice of Aline Bouvy is characterized by her refusal to compromise or to adapt to social systems aimed at regulating our desires. Using poetic strategies and a rigorous aestheticism shot through with humour, she questions the hierarchies of power and the patriarchal apparatus. Her practice confronts us with what is regarded as unusual or taboo by stories that are rooted in the context of the places where she presents her work, while at the same time questioning the role of the artist and her dedication.
