Melvin Moti (1977, Rotterdam, the Netherlands), lives and works in Rotterdam. He examines neurological, scientific and historic processes in relation to visual culture. Over the last years he produced several films along with artist books, objects and drawings. Moti had solo exhibitions at Art Sonje (Seoul, South Korea), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo Japan), EMPAC (New York State, United States), Pavilion (Leeds, UK), Harburger Kunstverein (Harburg, Germany), CAC Vilnius (Lithuania), Mudam (Luxembourg), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam) and MMK (Frankfurt). His work has been featured in the Triennale di Milano 2019, the 16th Istanbul Biennial, Yokohama Triennale 2014 and the 55th International Art Exhibition, Venice. In 2010, WIELS presented his solo exhibition “From Dust to Dust.”
