Vedran Kopljar (& parents) (b. 1991, Slavonski Brod, Croatia) is based in Belgium and works primarily in painting, installation, and performance. Designating their output as poetry and poetics, Kopljar (& parents) explore how meaning is generated, experienced, and cultivated through practices of framing, writing, and rewriting. The works serve as metaphorical models that can be instrumentalised within the temporary logic and questioning of exhibitions.

Since 2024, "(& parents)" has been added to the artist's name to acknowledge the practice as a family business and recognise the active, practical role of the artist's parents in their work.
