Born in 1979 in Iran, lives Graz, Austria.

Art photographer, specializing in staged photography. She was a lecturer at the Tehran University of Art for several years. She devoted her doctoral thesis to the subject of "Photography and Feminism". She has exhibited widely in Iran and Europe and also curated photography exhibitions in Iran, the Czech Republic and Bosnia-Herzegovina. She has lived in Graz since 2009, where she was awarded the city Art Funds Prize.

Her work focuses on how socio-political, cultural and religious conditions at both local and global levels affect women and also how these effects are inscribed into their biographies and identities. Occasionally she is also an illustrative object to reflect her process of socialization in different societal systems.

For the last few years she has worked in intercultural, feminist adult education and youth centres. Since 2015 she has been part of the Graz Women’s Council.
