Shezad Dawood collaborates with Brussels-based dancer Wan-Lun Yu on a site-specific choreography for the exhibition at WIELS. They have drawn inspiration from the Mutant, a key character in the novella Night in the Garden of Love by Yusef Lateef (which gives Dawood’s exhibition its title). Come and encounter the Mutant as it dances through Dawood’s sensorial garden, in costumes designed by London fashion label Ahluwalia that re-use fabrics from Dawood’s textile archive.
