Inspired by Brussels' multilingualism and strong cultural diversity, artist Yto Barrada introduces “Animal Spring": a game of 40 cards in which playful animal figures are displayed along with their names and adjectives in Arabic, French, Dutch and English. The graphic design by Julie Klear and the unique patterns, made out of vintage wallpaper found in Morocco, make of each card a work of art.
The card game is distributed for free to schools in the Forest district and to various non-profit associations in Brussels and Tangiers for didactic purposes
In collaboration with the municipality of Vorst/Forest (and its Flemish library BLIB) and the generous support of Jacques & Christiane Berghmans.
